Tasks

  • Capture and review receipts and invoices, and learn how our automated booking suggestions are generated and how to check them properly.
  • Get hands-on with the books: accounts receivable, accounts payable, bank, and cash will quickly become part of your day-to-day.
  • Support monthly closings, VAT pre-filings (Umsatzsteuervoranmeldung, UStVA), and reports.
  • Work closely with experienced colleagues from our accounting and product teams, and gradually take ownership of your own client topics.

Requirements

  • Some first experience in accounting (roughly one year), whether from vocational training, a student job, an internship, or a career switch.
  • A basic understanding of booking logic. First exposure to VAT pre-filings (UStVA) is a plus.
  • An appetite for digital tools and processes that are not always fully built yet, and the ability to teach yourself new things.
  • Attention to detail, willingness to learn, initiative, and team spirit.
  • English at B2/C1 level (our team language) and German at minimum B2 level. Solid German is needed for the tax and accounting terminology (HGB, UStVA, DATEV).
