Tasks

  • Independently run the ongoing bookkeeping for your own portfolio of clients: accounts receivable, accounts payable, bank, and cash.
  • Review and refine our AI-generated booking suggestions. Your professional judgment is what turns automation into reliable accounting.
  • Own monthly closings, VAT pre-filings (Umsatzsteuervoranmeldung, UStVA), and reporting for your clients, and support the preparation of the annual financial statements (Jahresabschluss).
  • Act as a sparring partner for our product team: spot where the automation falls short, flag edge cases, and help make the product smarter.
  • Share your know-how with junior colleagues and help shape our accounting processes as we scale.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience in accounting / financial bookkeeping.
  • Experience in SaaS, e-commerce, or real estate is a big plus.
  • Solid command of German booking logic (HGB) and confident, independent handling of VAT pre-filings (UStVA). You bring DATEV experience with you.
  • An appetite for digital tools and processes that are not always fully built yet, and the ability to teach yourself new things.
  • A structured, reliable way of working, attention to detail, ownership mentality, and team spirit.
  • English at B2/C1 level (our team language) and German at minimum B2 level. Solid German is needed for the tax and accounting terminology (HGB, UStVA, DATEV).
